Harris pontoon boats
Harris Boats is a premier luxury recreational pontoon boat brand. A division of the Brunswick Boat Group and a subsidiary of the Brunswick Corporation, Harris Boats is headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana. All of Harris’ pontoon boats are manufactured at their 360,000-square foot Brunswick Boat Group Fort Wayne Operations facility in Fort Wayne.
The roots of Harris Boats lie in Harris Manufacturing, a manufacturing business founded by brothers Pete and Ernie Harris in the 1940s. Cashing in on the increasing popularity of pontoon boats, these brothers then went on to establish Harris FloteBote Marine in 1957. In 2005, Harris Boats became a subsidiary of Brunswick Corporation. In 2013, Brunswick Fort Wayne Operations expanded their production facility to their current production facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Harris Boats are well-known not just in the US, but throughout the world for manufacturing state-of-the-art luxury and recreational boats. They have, in their more than 60 years of operation, gained a reputation for staying up-to-date with market trends and latest technologies. From installing upholstered pontoon seats and furniture and using aluminum tubes, to adopting sterndrives, and motor-pods that were capable of holding engines as powerful as 140 horsepower, to its trademark “dolphin-nose cone,” Harris Boats has always proved itself as the first to adopt the latest innovation in their products.
Harris Boats has won the J.D. Power and Associates award for “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Pontoon Boats,” and National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA)’s Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Awards for 11 consecutive years. The company’s Harris FloteBote 2013 Crowne 250 was a recipient of the NMMA Innovation Award for Pontoon and Deck boats at the 2013 Miami International Boat Show.
